10 Fanciest Home Upgrades
An article on CNBC.com is counting down the ten “coolest” home upgrades of 2010. With home purchases still on the decline, you and I both know that home renovation is where it’s at.
While these upgrades may be much higher budget than the average homeowner’s desire or ability, they still are pretty to look at and dream about.
Here’s the list:
1) Hidden, Wall-mounted TV
2) Water Feature with Fire (per the photo above)
3) Home Golf Simulator
4) Glass Rooms on the Patio
5) Exotic Landscape Lighting
6) Outdoor Shower
7) Master Control for Energy Consumption
8) Pop-up Ventilation for the Kitchen
9) Cooling Drawer
10) High Tech Toilets
Obviously some of these upgrades wouldn’t even apply to certain areas of the country — I can’t fathom an outside shower in Ohio in the winter — while others are for the larger homes (glass patio and golf simulator, I’m looking at you). However, upgrades like the master energy consumption controller is something that most quasi-techy homes could definitely put to good use.
Be sure to pop over to the article to see the slideshow (like the picture above) and read more about each upgrade’s specifics, then let us know what your favorites are, or tell us about some other fabulous upgrades you’ve heard of.
And if anyone installs that water-fire-pit-of-death thing, let me know how that works out for you.
