Moving Hammerin' Hank Aaron's Alabama Home

    hank-aaron-home-move.jpg

Today's Homeowner has an interesting segment coming up about transporting Hank Aaron's home in Mobile, Alabama across town to sit near the Mobile Bay Bears new stadium which is named "The Hank Aaron Stadium".

The process should be interesting to watch and the history behind the home is fascinating as the original footprint was 24'x24' but was expanded on over the years by Hank and his family.

Danny Lipford and Hank Aaron share the hometown of Mobile so there is no one better than Danny to share this story.

I guess it ain't easy to move an entire house. I'm not quite sure if it can be moved as it is or if it has to be taken apart. Still I don't understand the reason of the relocation. What if the house ain't near the stadium? What if the movers ruin something and can't bring the house in one piece?

It's incredible how some moving companies can simply relocate your entire house leaving everything in it intact. I'd be interested about the company that did this for you, I might have a similar project.
