Hawaiian Hale

We're in Hawai'i!

Spent last week in Honolulu visiting friends and spending time with our God son who is now 9. He took me out surfing at Tongs in front of the Elks club and showed me how it's done. He pulled into a nice left and had the lineup cheering for him. We also had the pleasure of watching his dad, James Akaka of Joe Aloha catering, setup for the grand opening of his plate lunch food stand in front of Surftech at Queen and Ward. If you're in the neighborhood and craving a Hawaiian plate lunch definitely stop by.

   

This week we are on Maui and we'll will be checking out various island hale (homes) for inspiration. We can dream.
