Fixing Your Home Improvement Relationship

Getting on the same page with your spouse for major home improvements is often easier than you might think as you give yourselves time to discuss and you are typically working with a professional to offer sound advice. It's the smaller projects that can sometimes cause the most friction between a couple. From leaving jobs unfinished to procrastinating projects that need to get done, maintaining a smooth "home improvement relationship" isn't always easy.

But as with any household chore or jobs if you communicate intentions and go into any situation with a 80-20 attitude (advice from my mom) then no one comes away slighted as they understand it will all work out in the end.

This is so true! And remember folks, "Home Improvement Relationships" are not something that you should delegate to a contractor. Relationships should always be an on-going "do-it-yourselves projects". Maintenance cost are not expensive either; you just need to invest some time, attention, patience and understanding, consistently.
