Pantone just revealed their Color of The Year for 2011 -- Honeysuckle Pink.

    Per their press release:

"While the 2010 color of the year, PANTONE 15-5519 Turquoise, served as an escape for many, Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life."

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, goes on to describe why they chose such a vibrant, feminine color, suggesting it be used for everything from interior design and clothing to weddings and gift cards.

What do you think of next year's choice? Do you prefer the turquoise of this year, or perhaps the mimosa of 2009? Will you plan on incorporating this shade into a project of yours in the upcoming year? Let us know how honeysuckle makes you feel in the comments below.
