You just can’t beat solid doors, but if you can’t put them everywhere, at least use them on the doors that matter– the foyer closet that everyone sees, etc. Skimp on the upstairs closets if you have to.

Whether you’re considering the solid wood door or the hollow core ones, you have to maintain those doors. There are some damages that can’t be avoided, but if you do proper maintenance, you can still do stuff to make things as good as new.

Before choosing the type of door for your home, it’s best to determine your needs first. Weigh your options carefully, and list down the advantages and disadvantages so that you’ll make an informed decision. Consider the style, color, and overall make of your house.
