DeWALT 12V MAX Screwdriver Review

One of the most impressive tools we saw at the recent DeWALT 12V MAX product launch was their 1/4″ Screwdriver Kit. This cordless powerhouse feels durable enough for the jobsite but would also fit great in the hand of any homeowner, male or female.
Hits: design, grip, free-standing, smooth trigger pull, one-handed chuck
Misses: small grip might be troublesome for big hands
Uses: contractor grade on the jobsite but we suspect a ton of homeowners will purchase the 12V MAX for regular light duty
The slim ergonomic grip of this driver is an impressive feature we appreciated amongst the entire 12V MAX and it was a pleasure speaking to the industrial designers at the product event as they shared their vision and a few of the prototypes it took to develop their finished grip.

Another unique feature of this screwdriver are the trio of powerful LED lights that are placed directly around the hex of the screwdriver and provide unobstructed light directly to the work area.
But the killer feature is the one-handed hex chuck that allows you to simply push the bit in place with one hand to lock it and it can also be removed easily with one hand. The screwdriver comes with a bit-tip already installed so you can get right to work.
