A great alternative to traditional wood framing is using metal studs. Armstrong has simplified this process even further with their QuikStix drywall framing system.

On display at the 2010 Builders' Show, this system is intended for use building walls, ceilings and soffits. It has a "twist-click-lock" feature that makes installation much less time consuming and easier than ever. The skill level involved with setting this up ranges from contractor to skilled DIYer.

This product is made from over 30% recycled steel and will not support mold or mildew and will not warp or twist like wood can.

I agree that metal framing has a lot of benefits. It can really change the look of your home and shape the entire building, which is why it is important to use long-lasting materials. Metal has a long lifespan and holds up well over time. That is why I used metal framing when I built my own home. Before getting started, I spent a lot of time considering my options and doing my research, using McGraw Hill's Sweets Directory of construction products. They have a lot of important information that can help you make an informed decision. I have used them for years because they have made so many of my home improvement projects easier. I definitely recommend them.
