Some of us homeowners are lucky to have space on our 1st floor to have a designated laundry room. Even if your laundry room is in your dungeon (Oh, I mean basement) you can incorporate these thoughts into your design, for a better use of space.
And...let's be honest, creating a space that is this inviting to do laundry, or hang your coat in, isn't such a bad idea! I think it almost begs to be worked in.

Designing your kitchen space can seem overwhelming at times, especially in the beginning stages. You can save A LOT of time, stress and angst if you hire a kitchen professional that works in this field of design. Once you make that time-saving decision, here are 5 questions you should make sure to ask.
1. How can your kitchen designer help you achieve your design goals?
If it is creating more space, dive into that detail. It may be designing on a budget; if so, have she/he explain their design tactics. A kitchen designer is there to act as your design coach and work together with you and your family as a team.
2. What materials (cabinetry, countertops, appliances, backsplash, lighting) will work best for you and your family?
Sure, you may love stainless steel, but is that best for a family of five? What size width of certain appliances will work best in your space and for your needs?

Oh, the white kitchen! How it seems to just lift the room and allow a homeowner to take a breathe of calmness when entering it's calm surround.
White is, to date, one of the most popular choices in cabinetry (and overall kitchen color schemes) and will likely remain that way for a long time, if not forever.

Isn't it a pain (sometimes literally) when reaching above for dishes or glasses? You may also find yourself stretching up and working your fingers out just to barely nudge at the cake plate waaaaay up high?
What about the storage below your countertops, specifically drawers?
