Is your house the block wallflower? One simple step can change that.
When my husband and I painted our front door bright orange, our neighbor Kathy thought that it was only the primer and waited patiently for the day that we would cover it with the "real" color. Of course, that day never came. Every time Kathy walks out of her house and looks across the street, Dunn Edwards "Untamed Orange" is staring her in the face.
I really hope it's grown on her, because we don't plan on changing it anytime soon. I'm not trying to be difficult. I think it looks good.

Saint Patrick's Day kicks off the season with an infusion of green. But don't limit yourself to a token pair of green underwear. Instead, fully immerse yourself in a soothing, cheerful space. You'll not only avoid a pinch, you'll be the envy of all your friends.
1. Spring Leaves by Dunn Edwards - I'm always intrigued by a color that defies an easy description. The hue my friends chose for their kids' bathroom had me stumbling for the correct words. With its hints of blue and a retro feel, the color had the nuanced appearance of a copper patina.

2. Once Upon A Time by Benjamin Moore - I saw a pair of patent heels in this vibrant green color some years ago and I'm still mad at myself for not buying them. If shoes can elicit that much desire, imagine what a whole room can do.

I'm a big fan of wallpapered accent walls and wallpapered headboards. Even more, I like it when the two are used together. Look at how much depth and visual interest is gained by applying the same wallpaper to a two-dimensional surface and a three-dimensional object.
Miranda and Greg Stratford decided to wallpaper their headboard as an afterthought. When their dark brown wood bed frame clashed with their newly selected black and white wallpaper from Graham & Brown, the couple thought it would be better to transform their existing furniture instead of purchase a new bed.
