    My husband and I want to remodel our bathroom and install a pocket door because our bathroom is so small. Our house was built in 1921 and we’re concerned about the need to knock out part of the wall in order to install the tracking. The bathroom is in the middle of the house and my husband is concerned with knocking out some main beams.
    Can installation be done with out disturbing the wall itself? Or possibly just less invasive since it is such an old home.

    check out http://www.johnsonhardware.com for something called an “open pocket door” where it slides along the wall and not into an actually pocket, no walls need to be altered.
