Spike Delivers with Scrappers

We’ve got a new guilty pleasure, Scrappers. This reality show follows three metal recycling crews (scrappers) in Brooklyn as they find new jobs, explain the business of scrapping and fight with each other. Doesn’t sound like a ringing endorsement but this show is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other drivel on TV.
The personalities are real and the accents thick. It’s the Jersey Shore minus GTL and so much more.

If you like Deadliest Catch then Scrappers will be right up your alley as each crew has it’s own quirks and big personalities. They’re all blue-collar guys who are working hard to make an honest living and have big dreams of making it big. When most people drive by a construction site and see metal, they see money. $2.70 a pound for copper but most of what they find is cast-iron, aluminum and old water heaters.
Here’s a preview.
