Porter-Cable is now offering a small angle metal grinder that also functions as a metal cutter. Other applications include cleaning and finishing surfaces and tuckpointing.
Features
The grinder has a powerful 6 amp motor that specs at 11,000 RPM. It comes with grinding and cutting discs as well as two types of guards for both functions that can be adjusted without a tool.
Word on the street is that Stanley Black & Decker is selling Delta Machinery to an undisclosed buyer and for an undisclosed amount. Delta Machinery is still listed on the Black & Decker website so the sale isn't complete but once the deal goes through the details will be public.

The Delta Machinery brand also includes Porter Cable. These companies have built their reputation on building quality woodworking tools and have expanded into the consumer do-it-yourself tool market.

We got a first look at the 18V Lithium 4 Tool Combo Kit from Porter Cable and it's a beauty.
Tools include:

Plus (1) extended runtime battery and (1) compact lithium battery including charger. Blades included are (1) Double Ended Bit Tip, (1) 18T Carbide Tip Circ Saw Blade, (1) 6" Wood Cutting Recip Blade. And of course a roomy soft-sided carrying case.
We'll be doing full-reviews of each individual tool but this combo kit from Porter Cable has made a great first impression. Including two types of batteries is genius as we don't often need to reach for the extended run-time and would prefer a lighter/slimmer battery for tasks such as cutting overhead using the recip saw or drilling in an awkward space.
