Unabomber Ted Kaczynski’s Property For Sale

Yearning for seclusion? Don’t mind relocating to western Montana? Then we’ve got a deal for you! A piece of land once owned by Ted Kaczynski (better known as the Unabomber) is available for $69,500, a real steal since the property was once listed at $154,500.
You’ll get a 1.4-acre parcel of land with no electricity or running water. And you’ll have to build your own shelter–Kaczynski’s cabin is no longer on the property because it’s on display at Washington, D.C.’s Newseum.
According to a story in the Billings Gazette, the property listing proclaims the Unabomber acreage as a rare chance to “own a piece of ‘infamous U.S. history.'”

Kaczynski’s property certainly isn’t the first notorious piece of real estate to be up for sale. Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch; the Rock Island, Ill, home of gangster John Looney; even The Watergate Hotel–one of these could be yours if you’ve got money and don’t mind a crazy colorful history.
Of course, properties such as these aren’t necessarily on the same level as infamous haunted houses, like the Amityville dwelling. Still, real estate owned by the likes of the Unabomber could be haunted with ghosts of its own–or at least the haunting memory of the former owner.
Would you pony up for a piece of notorious real estate? If so, which one did you have in mind?
