Word on the street is that Stanley Black & Decker is selling Delta Machinery to an undisclosed buyer and for an undisclosed amount. Delta Machinery is still listed on the Black & Decker website so the sale isn’t complete but once the deal goes through the details will be public.
We’ve got a call into the folks at Stanley Black & Decker to see if they can shed some light on this deal.
The Delta Machinery brand also includes Porter Cable. These companies have built their reputation on building quality woodworking tools and have expanded into the consumer do-it-yourself tool market.
We had an opportunity to tour the Stanley Black & Decker facilities last year and specifically check out the latest from DeWALT. The Delta Machinery had their own section that many of the woodworking media were drooling over.
We know Stanley Black & Decker is committed to quality and we hope the Delta | Porter Cable brands remain the same with their new owners.
