Here’s a great DIY wooden beer caddy project just in time for Father’s Day from DIY PETE. Build one for the dads in your life, or make one for your own summer adventures.
What we really love about this project is it’s versatility — not only do the the dividers remove to make the caddy work for all size of beverages or whatever you may want to cart, but the use of galvanized pipe as the handle and the chalkboard labels gives the piece a great industrial feel that could work as a piece of functional decor or even a photography prop. The addition of the bottle opener on the side gives the project a great, well-rounded finished feel as well.
If you don’t have access to galvanized pipe, try thick rope or a cut broom stick handle or dowel rod as a substitute. If tackling this project for Father’s Day, let your kids pick our a color of paint (instead of stain) and let them go to with a dry brush for a more rustic, retro feel (just make sure to seal it when finished with a sealant).
