I love my 1989 FJ62 Land Cruiser, but since we’ve added another kid and are taking even longer road trips, I’ve been coveting a bit more power, space, and comfort in an overlanding vehicle. The Lexus GXOR concept off-road vehicle looks like the pinnacle of what I’ve been dreaming of when it comes to an overlanding truck that checks all the boxes.
The Lexus GX and LX series are bound to become even more coveted after the reveal of the GXOR. Yes, the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 series is still the top-dog for new luxury overland builds, but they are hard to find and remain very expensive. The Lexus GX and LX models are a bit easier to locate and are often in amazing condition as the previous owners probably never did any off-roading in them ever.
The number of aftermarket products for a Lexus build is growing and we can only hope for a factory-ready setup from Lexus that comes with almost everything the GXOR has.
