I recently joined a select group of media in hands-on testing Rust-Oleum’s new cabinet and countertop transformation kits which they feel is going to revolutionize the DIY segment of the market. This event was held at Latrobes, a very unique event space (formerly a bank) in the center of the French Quarter in New Orleans and you couldn’t have wished for a more inspiring place to test paint and product.
Rust-Oleum is long known for their specialty paint products and cleaners but they’ve taken a dramatic step in the DIY and design direction with these new kitchen makeover kits. They’ve lowered the barriers to cost and skill required to do a surface renovation on a kitchen which typically involves painting cabinets and replacing countertops.
I’ll break down each kit in upcoming articles and if a newly resurfaced countertop for $250 and cabinets for $150 sound appealing to you then you’ll want to check back on our reviews of the process and product.
It was great to hear feedback from everyone in attendance and going through the accelerated process of transforming a cabinet face and countertop was of tremendous value. I honestly feel that most people could do this over a weekend no matter what level of DIY skill they have.
