Install Deer Fencing To Protect Your Landscaping

There are few things more frustrating than your beautiful, carefully planned and tended landscaping being destroyed by an inquisitive visitor of the animal variety. If you find yourself in this situation, we suggest installing some protective fencing to help keep animals out.

Take deer fencing, for example. It comes in several varieties, including invisible, electric and a more traditional design made of durable, heavy metal. Each type of fencing comes with its own pros and cons. Consider the metal fencing — if you highly value the aesthetic of your landscaping, this is going to be a much more visible option that may detract from the look of your lawn.
You can also find polypropylene mesh deer fencing. It’s expensive but easily blends into the backdrop, making it a much less visible option.
Installation instructions will vary depending on the type of fencing you pick, but all are DIY-friendly. You’ll need to consider your budget, preference and amount of fence needed before making a decision.

And if you suspect that animals other than deer are the culprits, you can also choose rabbit fencing or a basic garden fence that will help protect your landscaping from smaller visitors like cats and dogs.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option, you can easily create a DIY garden fence out of a few posts and chicken wire. This may provide the protection you seek and, once you evaluate its effectiveness, you can decide to upgrade from there–or stick with the fence as-is.
Do you have any fencing installed to protect your garden and landscaping? Let us know what you chose and how it’s working.
