OK, we know — the iPhone as an actual home improvement tool? It’s a bit of a stretch. But with so many DIY-focused apps on the market, handy devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad can increasingly service a purpose as an invaluable reference tool during various stages of your project.
One of the latest apps to catch our eye is iScrew, developed by Tobias Werner. The free app is a comprehensive reference to screws, bolts and fasteners. Whether you need assistance in determining what type of screw works best in a certain material or need help at the hardware store in finding a particular replacement, iScrew puts valuable illustrations, measurements and other information at your fingertips.
