Forget Boxes, Go Recopack on Your Next Move

recopack Forget Boxes, Go Recopack on Your Next Move claims to be “The First, Zero-Waste Pack and Move Solution in America!” What does this really mean?

20 percent of the American population packs and moves each year- generating massive quantities of waste, that ultimately ends up in a landfill. It’s a huge problem and we haven’t had a choice in over 230 years.
New or used cardboard boxes are expensive, inefficient, wasteful and really bad for our planet.

The founder, Spencer Brown, has developed the Recopack made from 100% hard to recycle plastic trash mined from local landfills. They are available in 3 sizes and delivered direct to your door, you just pack, stack and move. When you are finished unpacking just call them up and they’ll take the Recopacks away to be used again.
We like how they share their pricing online and although its far from cheap we think it’s a much better solution than buying new boxes and also environmentally responsible.

Unfortunately they currently only service Los Angeles County, Long Beach and Orange County but have expansion plans in the works for San Francisco and Portland.
If you can’t shake the boxes then consider searching your local Craigslist for moving boxes. Many times you’ll find them free or at a small cost. You can also order from and they will deliver previously used boxes that are in good condition.
