We’ve been enamored with Seattle houseboats since Sleepless in Seattle but the majority of houseboats we’ve seen up close look a bit dated and more charming than cool. Our opinions have changed after seeing this houseboat remodel in the Seattle Times.
Is it possible for two architects from Japan and the Netherlands not to have great taste? A $240,000 budget also helps you achieve your remodeling goals. Here’s a photo gallery of their 807 square-foot home and notice the sailboat moored to their dock/patio.

Update: The Sleepless in Seattle houseboat is up for sale. Thanks AT.
